When you begin working out with weights, always start out with smaller muscles first. Begin your routine by using barbells and dumbbells first and working the smaller muscle groups. That way, you can give your small muscles a break while you exercise your large muscles.
To increase the level of mass in your body, lift heavier weights. Start by choosing a particular focus, like the chest area. Warm up with lighter weights, going through the motions but not working too hard. It should be possible for you to complete 15-20 reps with the warm-up weights. Once you’ve finished your warm-up, do a set with a heavy weight. You should only be able to lift it six to eight times in succession. Add 5 more pounds, and then repeat the reps for your third set.
